You're sad to know your summer's gone

Listening to : Magic Sticks In December - Best Interest

Ouch,ouch,ouch.
My calves hurt.
I blame my dad.
He had a supposedly great idea for the whole family to go to Upper and Lower Pierce Reservoir to walk.

11.30pm - C.S.I ended, tuned in to HBO where a movie starring Richard Gere and Sharon Stone was showing.
2.00am - Slept.
6.00am - Woke up,realised my phone's alarm had been ringing since 3.00am cos I initially planned to wake up at 3am to watch the Champions League match.
6.05am - Switched on the TV to check the Champion League's match result.
6.10am - Went back to sleep.
7.25am - Woke up to the banging on my door.My dad informed me that we were gonna be late for 8.00am mass in OLPS.
7.50am - Made it to OLPS on time.

Ah,tiring shit.
Ooh,Mamma Mia was awesome.
Who knew that Harry would turn out homosexual!?
Who knew that Colin Firth could sing well?
Who doesn't know that Abba rocks?

its like we've all had better days

Listening to : Falling For You - Student Rick

This morning was funny.
Me and Denise were at the stoplight outside school,on the way home.
Me : Hey!Which bus are you taking?
Denise : 17.
Me : Cool,I'm taking triple two.
Then when we reached the other side of the road;
Denise : *Giggles*Bye!
Me : *Giggles*Bye!
Perhaps you don't get why we found it so hilarious.
You see,we live in the same block.
So its sorta kinda funny that we're not going home together.
Ah,nevermind if you don't find it as amusing as me.
Learn to indulge in life's simple pleasures.
Hahahaha.
I feel so happy.

Oh,except for the fact that Alonso won the Singapore Grand Prix.
Hah,not as important as Man Utd's win though.
Bad penalty decision,awesome Rooney goal.

Happy belated birthday to Christopher,Megan and Priscilla!

its going down tonight

Listening to : Lollipop - Lil Wayne

Nooooooo!
Lifehouse is coming to Singapore.
That would be great if it wasn't gonna be held at St James' Powerstation.
You have to be aged eighteen.
Damn.

Really fun day.
Still felt like someone was missing during recess.
Even though the toilet felt overcrowded when we waited for each other.

Cue: Start mimicking the 'Wrong Date' drama test script
Hannah : Why do girls always have to go to the bathroom together?

take a chance on me

Listening to : The King of Wishful Thinking - New Found Glory

While walking down the stairs:
Jeri: Ah the floor is wet. There's a sign there.
Abi : Oh yeah...
Jeri: Maybe we should use different stairs.
Abi and Jeri after a moment's pause(simultaneously) : Who cares?

In the Bedok Interchange MacDonald:
Abi : Are you kidding me?He's not sweet.
Toni: Yes he is!
Abi : The only thing sweet about him is in his stomach!
Abi,Toni,Jeri: Oh my gosh....hahahahahahahahaha!

In Bedok Library,trying to study:
Jeri : I can't stop hiccuping.....*hic*...See!?
Abi : Haha,don't worry.You'll be fine soon.
Abigail's mind : Ancient India faced floods-
Jeri : *Hic*
Toni and Abi trying not to laugh.
Abigail's mind : Floods,Rebellions-
Jeri : *Hic*
(Repeat whole scenario five more times)
Abi and Toni: Hahahahahaha, sorry Jeri! That's damn funny.

During recess :
Victoria : Hmm,it feels like someone's missing...
Chelsea : Marga's not here today.
Victoria : Yeah...but it still feels like someone's missing.
Everyone at the table does a quick count.
Abi : Well, everyone except Marga is here.
Victoria : Yeah...
Abi : Unless Marga is two people.

Man,I love the recess gang!

Listening to : I Want it That Way - New Found Glory

That cover isn't too bad,but I still like Nice Guys Finish First's cover.

The Formula One Night race is approaching.
I wish I could go.
I bet like,20 people there (at least) don't even know a thing about F1.
I don't know much, but at least I know that Hamilton did not win last year's season.
Kimi Raikkonen from Ferarri did.
Even though Mclaren was widely tipped to win-either with Alonso or Hamilton-,they didn't.
Everything was pointing to Hamilton to win his debut season, but Raikkonen, only in third place I think, won eventually.
The New Paper did a whole analysis on the last race, and I remember reading it and going 'Man,if Hamilton loses this,it would really suck for him.'
I was supporting him anyway,cos I didn't like Alonso(his ex-teammate).
Oh well, this time Massa is his biggest competition.

Supersports is some miracle.
Its gotten me hooked on Football and Tennis.

Anyway, today was a really fun day!

drowning in drunk sincerity

Listening to : Baby,Come On - Plus 44

Chelsea,I want to thank you a whole frickin' lot.
I bet you didn't even know what you did,but it helped.
I bet you're never even going to read this, but I 'll just do a simple version on your facebook.
If you do want to know, though, here goes:

I've been feeling jaded(never thought I'll use that to describe me,but yeah) the whole day.In fact,my happiest point was yesterday when Park scored the first goal in the Man Utd-Chelsea(the team, not the girl) game.
Anyway, obviously school wasn't a blast(harry potter much?) like it usually is,save for Chinese.
So walking back home,I got at least 3 minutes to think about the day.
Then I thought about Chelsea, and I imagined a whole scenario where she lent me a listening ear(you have no idea how helpful those are).
I did feel a lot better.
Oh,Margarita helped too.
She made Chinese fun.
God forbid I put Chelsea and Margarita's name in the same sentence, but Chelsea and Margarita, thank you.

Now I have my own anti-jadedness-er!
Yay.
However, I'm still playing my 'You stole my heart and left it for roadkill' playlist.
(Something to play when I don't want to think)
Not a good sign.

Happy Birthday to Cherise!
My iPod has finally started working!
I want to watch Mamma Mia!

when your heart stops beating

Listening to : Cute Without the E - Taking Back Sunday

I'm in a not-so-great,bordering-very-bad mood.
Stupid iPod hanged on me.
I can't start the thing, and nothing happens when I connect it to the computer.
Huh.

Happy Birthday to Theresa!(I think)

the one who really messed me up

Listening to : Poppin' Champagne - All Time Low

Walking behind the canteen;
Me :*passing by the drink stall*Wow...I didn't know there were so many cups.
Chelsea : Dumb la,you. They need the cups for like, how many thousands?
Me : One thousand.
Chelsea :Oh....oh yeah.

Dance was...not great fun.
Drama was mind wrecking.
Both eventually turned out well.
Drama better,though.

Oh man,I think I'm sick.
In fact,I think I've been feeling sick since Assembly this morning.
I like that pink Beatles shirt.
In fact,I like the whole of Hot Topic.
Happy Birthday to Joel Tan!

Shush Up,please

Listening to : Time to Break Up - All Time Low

The song is a Blink 182 cover.Go listen,its a great cover.

You know, every Christmas, people rush to buy gifts and who-knows-what for all their friends/family in a routine-esque way.Of course everyone knows gifts = money. And that limitation brings you to about 30 big gifts for your close circle of friends/family,instead of say...70 gifts for every good friend. And there are -but only maybe- those sort of 'obligation presents',where the person is related to you in a way that you have to give the person a present, whether you want to or not.Well, that is not very Christmas-spirit-ish,but its happens.

So this year,I'm gonna bake cookies for everyone I know and like.If you get a cookie, good for you.You mean something(good) to me,and that's my present to you straight from the heart. Depending on the day you receive it,stright from the oven. This would mean that I can bring like,30 to church. Also meaning that I'm telling 30 people 'Hey,Merry Christmas and thank you for everything. Its not flashy, but I'm not rich, either.I love you,though.'.

Toni's cousins live in Hougang and Boon Lay,she lives in Pasir Ris.They're very close.

Chelsea's cousins live in America, she lives in Singapore. They're very close.

My cousins from my mum's side live in Philippines,I live in Singapore. We're pretty close.

My cousins from my dad's side live four blocks away from me,we speak about three sentences a year. What irony.

I'm loving this week.
I'm loving that Federer won the US Open.
I'm loving the 'I'm so going to Swensens' t-shirts.
I'm loving the book 'Girls who Like Boys who Like Boys'
I'm hating the Law of Attraction.
Happy belated birthday to Joanne and Chelsea!

Go On,Girl

Listening to : Everything - A Cursive Memory

Just a little bit longer to EOY.
Then...outings with friends?
JXY?
Advent Cambodia Trip?
Christmas shopping/making
So many possibilities....
Well!That would be fun.

I stayed up till 1am-ish.
2300 - 0030 : Writing farewell messages to people(but I'm not going anywhere,really.As far as I know...)
0030 - 0100 : Tossing and turning.Not fun,at all.
0100 - 0800 : Sleep!Finally.

I miss school.
Holidays are really not that fun.
Ohwell.
Yes,the 'oh' and the 'well' were meant to be written together.

I've got one hour to dry my hair, change into my Abercrombie skirt and shirt, look for good new bands and get ready to meet Toni at N2.
Tick tock.

In other news...
1)Berbatov is in Manchester United!
His first game,possibly,is against Liverpool.
Awesome.
And Campbell wasn't sacrificed.
I like Campbell.

2)Kitson's now in Stoke City!
I can't see myself supporting Stoke,though.
This now leaves me no reason to support Reading, but I still do anyway.
Well...is Doyle and Long still there?

3)Ana Ivanovic isn't in the American Open anymore.
Nooo!

4)Djokovic(?) and Federer are still in though.
I think...hm.

Happy belated birthday to Celine and Angeline!

First Impressions/Sooner and Newer

Listening to : Shake and Shout - Stereo Skyline!

Have you noticed my obsession with bands that have exclamation marks in their name?

Things that really irritate me:

People who smoke.
-If you wanna leave the world via lung cancer,be my guest. But leave me out of it!
You can argue that you're not forcing me to smell the smoke, but I'm sorry,
last time I checked, what type air I breathe in is not for me to choose!

People who smoke at six-freaking-thirty am.
-What the hell!?Its not bad enough that you're polluting people's lungs,
you plan on doing so when masses of young children are making their way to school?

Parents who buy crocs for their little kids
-I hate crocs. They make people's feet look stupid. Why don't parents see that their
toddlers are a lot less adorable with the bulky crocs at their tiny feet?

The people who invented crocs
-They look hideous.Seriously.As if making adult ones weren't bad enough, you had
to make miniature ones!?

People who are pretty, smart, and actually really nice
-Kind of speaks for itself. You can't help but like them, which is irritating itself.

Mosquitoes
-Doesn't really need an explanation,right?

Bands who are only borderline popular and act like big-shots already.
-I bet half the reason people liked you at first was cos you were humble!
You don't even have bragging rights yet.

Thats actually not everything, but I can't remember anything else,
so I'll keep updating this.Trust me,there are lots.

Mumble,mumble.....silence./I LOVE YOUTUBE!

Listening to : Caught up in You - Cassi Thomson

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWiBAj0GxRA&feature=related

Three words.Taylor.Freaking.Lautner.
Why would you want a vampire when this werewolf is ten million times hotter?
You see my point,yes?
I still like him best in Cheaper by the Dozen 2,though.
Eerily,he reminds me of Scott.
How interesting.
Anyway, just in case you didn't realise this,Taylor Lautner is the guy in the video.
The one whose main job is just to act hot.
A job he has done extremely well.

The best boredom killer is undoubtedly Youtube.
In rigid order:
What the Buck;
Ryan Higa;
Smosh;
Dave Days;
Andrew Bravener;
Jonas Brothers Music(to my defence, their videos are funny!)

I don't watch Gossip Girl, but I did read one of the books.Blair/Nate for me!
Happy Birthday in advance to Jeri!

Some people have tomato-fetishes

Listening to : Smelyalata - Neversoutnever!

Christofer Drew is a great one-man band.
And his name is cute.
Christofer,not Christopher.
Hey,just saying.

School was yet another amazingly fun day.
Except...oh yes, practicing the dance in the front row for Aces/teacher's day.
Well, credit to the CCA leaders(and probably Ms Zarina?).
Its one-and-a-half times better than the primary school's aces day routine.
Last year's one was easy to follow not to mention remember.
Albeit very damn embarrassing.

Catechism was nice,too.
We played this card game, after which I showed off my occasional flicker of math genius by explaining to the class what a group's possible highest average score could be.
(Okay, its not really an occasional flicker.
Its more like almost non-existent when it comes to math)

I've been making a conscious effort to LOOK AT MORE GREEN THINGS!
Healthier eyes and all.
It could have been better,if the field opposite my house wasn't completely destroyed and taken over by the now complete HDB flats.
The least they could do was paint the houses,I don't know...green!?
As compensation for killing those poor trees, and making the route to Pizza Hut longer for us.
Interestingly enough,I immensely dislike green as a colour.
Bad childhood memories.Don't ask.

Oh yeah, morning assembly was scary rhymes-with-ship.
9.55pm now.OH!HEROES TODAY!

Its only natural

Listening to : Bones - The Killers

Hmm.Not a very eventful week.
History tutorials were really fun.
Abigail Cho's birthday is one month and a day after mine.
Yay us!
Haha.
Ah,its almost Jeri's birthday.
I swear,Deepti is way too obsessed with Harry Potter.
She's counting down the days to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Its 320 or 319 days,I think.
We watched the life of Pope John Paul II during Catholic Fellowship.
It was really touching, specially when the little boy died in the bombings.
I was like "Nooo! Why the little boy!?"
But not as bimbotically.
Micheal Phelps is cool man.
So is Roger Federer.
What do people see in Nadal, seriously?
Ahh,but he's spanish.
Spaniards rock.

Happy belated birthday to Abigail!

Taking your own bittersweet time

I'm checking your pulse
I'm giving you air
But your body disagrees
And no it don't care at all
I'm wasting my time

Now your eyes roll awake
You're looking at me
You say Darling what happened
Did I fall asleep?
And you carry me home?
Cause I know I wasn't here

I'm closing your blinds
I'm shutting your eyes
And now I
I'm afraid I have to go
Whoa

I'd sing you a song
But I'm feeling quite off
In my heart
It's occupied
And now's not the time

Let's try this again
And this time don't laugh
Cause I'm working on my sentences
I'm working on my play on words
I'll get it this time

If I am a clock
Then you are the time
I'm patiently waiting
When you're out of line
And I'll be the question
If you'll be the answer

I'm closing your blinds
I'm shutting your eyes
And now I
I'm afraid I have to go
Whoa

I'd sing you a song
But I'm feeling quite off
In my heart
It's occupied
And now's not the time

If I am a clock
Than your are the time
I'm patiently waiting
When you're out of line
I'm counting the times
That you've lied to my face
My hands were full
Not a second to waste

If I am a clock
Than your are the time
I'm patiently waiting
When you're out of line
I'm counting the times
That you've lied to my face
My hands were full
Not a second to waste

I'm closing your blinds
I'm shutting your eyes
And now I
I'm afraid I have to go
Whoa

I'd sing you a song
But i'm feeling quite off
In my heart
It's occupied
And now's not the time
The time.

-Not a Second to Waste,
A Rocket to the Moon.

A Rocket to the Moon sings awesome songs.Their lyrics are just W-O-A-H.

You had me at 'Is anyone seating here?'

Listening to : The Reason - Hoobastank

Science lab period-
Me : Are the corks wet?
Abigail : Huh?
Me : Are the corks wet?
Abigail : Oh,yeah!They're wet.
Me : Eww,that's disgusting.
Abigail : Haha,I heard something else at first...
Me : Uh....Oh.Ooooh,hahahaha.

Abigail Cho is a fun lab partner! It'll be cool if Abigail Chan,Abigail Cho and I meet up.
Cos we all go 'Hi Abigail!' to each other every time we meet.

Anyway, yeah!I'm finally using the computer! Its been what...a really long time?
Hah.Yeah.
Margarita Seah should be grateful to me if she attends the Death Cab For Cutie concert and likes it!I told her about it.

Yesterday in MT while doing corrections for CA paper(which I passed!)-
Me : Hey,you going for the Death Cab for Cutie concert?
Margar : Oh,I didn't know about it.When is it?
Me : Somewhere in September I think.
Margar : Oh,okay.I'm not going,I don't even listen to them.Hah.
Me : Whatever!I got this question correct.Hah!

Today in MT while taking out our books(in AVT)-
Margar : Ey,I think I'm going for the Death Cab for Cutie concert.I heard that its gonna be damn nice.
Me : Hah!

So far,I've met my expectations for CAs.Ain't that great?
It is.
Oh,on Wednesday,I heard the best 50 minute homily ever.
Novena in preparation of our church feast day.
And today there's gonna be a dinner!
Yes!

Drama is fun.Dance is scary,MT is fun,History is just...funny.
EPL's starting soon!

Don't wanna think about you,
Or think about me,
Don't wanna figure this out,
Don't wanna think about you,
Or think about nothing,
Don't wanna talk this one out.

- Don't Wanna Think About You,Simple Plan

OH!I got a frickin' medal for sports carnival!
Gladiatress.
HOW COOL IS THAT?

Musician boys and their Beatles love

Listening to : I Wanna Hold Your Hand - The Beatles

I have a theory-
Any guy ranging from ages 14 to 24 would be twice as cool if they liked(or are even familiar with) the following:
- The Beatles
- The Killers
- Belle and Sebastian
- Guitar Hero (heck yes)
- Sneakers
- Football/Soccer
- Tennis
- The Academy Is...
- The Girl Next Door

Hey,its my theory.

Good week.
I've been studying and paying atteneion in class.
Church was good except for the No-Zara and No-10.30 mass parts.
Sunday as a whole was fun.
Especially the train ride home!
Oh yes,it was a day of firsts.

1) I went to Boon Keng MRT station for the first time.
2) I talked to Justin for the first time.
3) I wore my Fox jeans for the first time!

Happy belated birthday to Justin Wong!

Chocolate chunks in my chocolate oatmeal bar/Breaking and Entering

Listening to : The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin

Like The Beatles with 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand',they nailed to.
The Beatles were right about 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand',cos according to Dev,love is all about wanting to hold his or her hand.
By they I mean the people on Harry Potter casting.
I really just wanna talk about Harry Potter.
The trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is out.
It looks awesome.
Okay,I'm just biased toward anything and everything Harry Potter related.
But I'll definitely watch it.
Seriously, all the actors were perfectly cast.
Have you seen Katie Bell or Lavender Brown?
They were exactly what I thought a Katie Bell or Lavender Brown would look like.

Oh,I started this post quoting Dev from 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist' for a reason.
I yahoo-ed the book, and I found out that its really gonna be made into a movie.
Butbutbut....I don't like the actors.
I have totally nothing against Micheal Cera, especially after Superbad and Juno,
but he's not the first person that pops into my mind when the words
'Bassist of Queercore punk-rock band',
'Straight-edge but not 100% straight'
'Really really cute' and
'Writes kick ass lyrics' come up.
Norah looks more like a Tris.
Caroline is good.
Thom was not expected, but in a good way.
Tris looks too innocent.
I really love Harry Potter.

You don't know,
But I'm noticing.
- March Eighteenth/The Noticing Song by Nick O'Leary

I didn't have Pink Guava Juice today

Listening to : Dear Maria(Count Me In) - All Time Low

Monday is...Mostly okay,cos there's school again.
Tuesday is...The long long day, where all subjects we have last for an hour, except recess(damn!)
Wednesday is...a mixture.School starts early but there's CCA.There is Home Ec!
Thursday is...pretty okay.Nothing remotely horrible or remotely nice about Thursday.
Friday is...Awesome!There's drama.
Saturday is...just a waste of the 24 hours thats seperating my two favourite days.
Sunday is...Awesome,again.I love Church!Or rather,I love my church! And the people in my church.

Oh,about yesterday's post.
'Crawling towards the Sun' is the Panic!-meets-The Academy song, not 'Wine Red'!
Sorrysorrysorry.

School was pretty fun.
We went to the Library and looked through the X-Files books.
I would write a funny conversation, but it totally made no sense that I wouldn't know where to start.(Haha)

We like cats...FURRY cats!
(No,not really,but anyway.)

We like Cows!
Cows who are brown.
Cows who are brown and jump over the moon.
Cows who are brown and jump over the moon and turn into seven monkeys!

Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon,Please let Christmas come soon!

Monday, July 28, 2008

It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?

Listening to : Don't Wanna Think About You - Simple Plan

(Narrating the script for Podcasting)
Jeri :Let us now interview a very experienced ice-skating coach,Ms Helga-Fugiyoshi-Fawntawallia-VanillaFraiser.
Me and Jeri: Otherwise known as...TIWI!
(PS: You'll only understand the name if you watch Ryan Higa videos,so go watch now!)

I borrowed the book Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist again.
Again meaning the third or fourth time.
I'm also listening to my 'Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist' playlist.
Its actually just all my Simple Plan songs in the playlist.
No The Beatles/Belle and Sebastian/The Cure mixes in it.
But Norah from 'A Novel Idea' and Norah from 'Nick and Norah's' both liked Belle and Sebastian.
The song Come into my office,Baby is pretty good.
I just realised, both books have leads named Norah and both are my favourite books but I don't know any Norahs.
Whereas,I do know a few James and Nicks.
I wonder if Nick in 'Nick and Norah's' is short for Nicholas.
That,would be cool.
If they made a 'Nick and Norah's' movie,I'll like Stephen Colletti to play Nick.
In case you don't know who that is,he's some guy from Laguna Beach.I think.
I wouldn't know...I don't watch it.

Oh yes, this is the best indulgence, talking about books and music.
Ohoh, the band The Hush Sound is good.
'Wine Red' is kind of a Panic! at the Disco meets The Academy Is... song.
Andandand,I should've gone for Singfest last year.
The Academy Is... and COBRA-FRICKIN'-STARSHIP came!
But this year Simple Plan and New Found Glory is coming.
Its still sickening to say I can't go.
Due to monetary issues.
Death Cab for Cutie is coming!
Somewhere in September,I think.

Happy birthday in advance to Beezzz! You better keep pollinating those flowers!

Me and You and You and Me,
No matter how they toss the Dice,it has to be

-Happy Together(Simple Plan cover)
